In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the Digital Services Service Desk function, managing day-to-day relationships with users, and providing empowerment and coaching to the IT Service Desk team. The post requires a high level of discretion, the ability to work unsupervised, and a proactive approach, as the post holder will be required to deputize for the IT Service Delivery Manager in their absence on matters concerning the IT Service Desk Service. The ideal candidate will have significant supervisory experience in an IT Service Desk environment, strong people management skills, and excellent communication skills in NHS Jobs.
The main duties of the post include day-to-day management and supervision for the provision of a robust Service Desk service meeting the needs of internal and external customers. The post holder will lead in the provision of customer support, interfacing, and maintaining business and supplier relationships. They will need to ensure up-to-date record-keeping, ensuring all data recorded is accurate and creates an audit trail. The post holder will also need to provide weekly reporting into the IT Operational Meeting and updates to the Digital Services Workspace Manager when required. Additionally, they will be responsible for supervising the IT Service Desk for day-to-day monitoring and KPI reporting, ensuring adherence to processes and policies for successful delivery by the team and for the service, and managing asset inventories and their component lifecycles NHS Jobs.
